Welcome to AMEST & IMS 2027: Two IFAC Communities, One Joint Event

Welcome to the website of the 7th IFAC Workshop on Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technology (AMEST 2027) and the 16th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS 2027).

From 7 to 9 April 2027, the University of Seville and the city of Seville will have the privilege of hosting this joint event. We will be working in partnership with the Association for the Development of Maintenance Engineering (INGEMAN), based at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, to organise the workshops. We believe that the Association’s contribution will help us meet the scientific expectations and organisational requirements of this international event to the highest possible standard.

The IFAC Joint Workshops AMEST 2027 & IMS 2027 will bring together researchers, practitioners and industry leaders to discuss advances at the intersection of maintenance engineering, asset management, intelligent manufacturing and industrial digitalisation. The workshops will address the transition from sensing and diagnosis to prediction, decision-making, planning, scheduling and actuation, with particular attention to Human-Centred AI, Agentic and Multi-Agent AI, Digital Twins, Asset Health Management and intelligent decision support.

We are already hard at work preparing to welcome you to Seville in April 2027, and we look forward to making this a stimulating and successful event for all participants.
