About AMEST 2027 & IMS 2027

From Predictive to Intelligent

IFAC AMEST 2027 & IMS 2027 brings together two established IFAC communities in Seville, Spain, from 7 to 9 April 2027: the 7th IFAC Workshop on Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technologies (AMEST 2027) and the 17th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS 2027).

Hosted by the University of Seville and organised in partnership with the Association for the Development of Maintenance Engineering (INGEMAN), the Joint Workshops will create an international meeting point for researchers, practitioners and industry leaders working across maintenance engineering, Asset Management, intelligent manufacturing and industrial digitalization.

The Joint Workshops will explore the transition from sensing, diagnosis and prediction towards intelligent decision-making, planning, scheduling and actuation, with particular attention to Human-Centered AI, Agentic and Multi-Agent AI, Digital Twins, Asset Health Management and intelligent decision support.

While maintaining their own scientific identities, AMEST and IMS will provide a common forum at the intersection of advanced maintenance, Asset Management, intelligent manufacturing and industrial digitalization. Cross-disciplinary contributions connecting scientific research with industrial practice are especially encouraged.
